Let’s walk through a sample approval flow to see how a transaction request moves through the system.

Step 1: A payment approval request is sent

A team member requests approval to send a payment to a beneficiary in USD. The request is automatically sent to the assigned approver based on the company’s approval policy.

Step 2: The approver reviews the request

Approvers can check pending approvals under the Approvals section on the dashboard. The Approvals page categorizes requests under:

  • Under approval – Awaiting action from an approver.

  • Ready for execution – Approved and waiting to be processed.

  • Executed – Successfully processed transactions.

  • Declined – Requests that were denied.

  • Discarded – Requests that are no longer valid.

The approver selects the request and can either approve or decline it. They also have the option to add notes for context.

Step 3: The executor processes the payment

Once approved, the request moves to the Ready for execution section. The executor can now see the approved payment under the Payments section and execute it instantly.
